iPhone Remote Webcam

RemoteSnap is an iPhone application which lets you use your iPhone's and iPad's camera as a wireless photo webcam to take pictures directly on your computer. You don't have to plug in your iPhone via USB any more.
Just open RemoteSnap, hit the "Snap" button and the photo is immediatly available on your computer. You can also send images you have already taken from your iPhone's photo album.

The latest version of Remote Snap also lets you snap photos directly to DropBox in full resolution!

HOW TO


Make sure RemoteSnapServer is running. It will show a little camera icon in your status bar.

Start RemoteSnap on your iPhone. It will briefly search for the Server in your network.

After finding a server in your network you can start taking photos.

Press "Snap". RemoteSnap will take a picture and send it to your computer immediately.
The photo is now available on your computer.

Besides the RemoteSnap app on your iPhone you need to run the free RemoteSnap Server on the computer you want to send your photos to. The server is available as a very small and easy to use download for your Mac OS X computer. Please make sure that the server is running on your computer before downloading the iPhone application!

How it works

  1. Install RemoteSnap on your iPhone from the iPhone AppStore.
  2. Download the Mac OS X Version of RemoteSnap Server to your computer.
  3. Start the RemoteSnap Server on your computer.
  4. Make sure both your iPhone and your Computer are in the same local network (usually that means attached to the same Router or DSL Modem by cable or Wi-Fi).
  5. Start RemoteSnap. Photos will now automagically be transfered to your computer running RemoteSnap Server.
